FAQs

As a professional Counselling Professional, asking the right questions is very important. Below you will find a compilation of the most common questions I’ve been asked about coaching and the services I provide. If you still have questions after reading through the FAQs, please give me a call or send me an email, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are 50 minutes long.

What are your fees?

I charge £50 per session.

How many sessions should I have?

This is different for each client.  Some clients find that one or two sessions gives them an opportunity to be heard and work through the issues they are having.  It has been found that six sessions provides a reasonable time-frame for clients to increase their self-awareness, reflect on any issues and facilitate some positive change for them.  Other clients find a longer-term approach works for them.

What Covid 19 precautions are you taking?

At present, I am offering in person counselling,  Zoom and telephone counselling.  This is constantly under review and I will switch to Zoom counselling if a client would prefer to or the levels of Covid 19 locally increase.

What will happen at sessions?

Counselling doesn't seek to answer questions for you or tell you what to do because I believe you are the expert in your life.  What counselling does is provide a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space for you to explore any issues that you are having.  I will reflect with you and help you identify any negative patterns that you might be experiencing as well as what might be having a negative impact in your life.  I believe that by helping clients to identify feelings, increase their self-awareness and self-compassion, this can facilitate change for the client.  I aim to empower clients to help make the changes they need to make and improve their sense of wellbeing.
